Manual Handing Course:

Half day (approx 3 hours duration) in classroom environment with short practical exercise to suit individual requirement and circumstance. Maximum 8 persons per session.

Course aims:

 - Understand the importance of good manual handling technique
 - Describe the main components of the spine and types of injury
 - Demonstrate a safe lifting technique
 - Understand your responsibilities with regards to manual handling

 - Principles of kinetic handling
 - Common manual handling injuries
 - Causes of back pain
 - Good handling techniques
 - Static / dynamic work
 - Regulation
